P. Bruce Uhrmacher Mentorship Award

The American Association for Teaching and Curriculum has a rich background of mentorship and guidance, a legacy we hope will always persist. Named after the extraordinary mentor Dr. P. Bruce Uhrmacher, each year AATC will honor a member who has become an exceptional mentor to our community. All members are encouraged to nominate a mentor.
AATC requests nominations for the annual P. Bruce Uhrmacher Award to recognize one outstanding mentor. Competition is open to non-members, but all applicants must be nominated by an AATC member.
In order to nominate an individual, please see the following:
Each nomination should include a letter of nomination, no longer than one page in length, where the applicant describes the impact of the nominated individual and why the nominee is deserving of this award. The application letter will help the committee determine the winner.
The deadline to apply is July 13, 2026.

Winners will be notified in advance, and will be honored with an award at the annual conference each year.

Dear Members,
The nomination window for the P. Bruce Uhrmacher Mentorship Award is now open.
Established to recognize outstanding mentorship in our organization, the award honors individuals who have made a significant impact through their guidance, support, and commitment to developing others. While nominees do not need to be members of AATC, all nominations must be submitted by a current AATC member. All members are encouraged to submit a nomination!
To nominate an individual, please submit:
A letter of nomination (no more than one page) describing the nominee’s impact as a mentor and explaining why they are deserving of this recognition.
The nomination letter will serve as the primary basis for the committee’s review and selection process.
