P. Bruce Uhrmacher Mentorship Award

The American Association for Teaching and Curriculum has a rich background of mentorship and guidance, a legacy we hope will always persist. Named after the extraordinary mentor Dr. P. Bruce Uhrmacher, each year AATC will honor a member who has become an exceptional mentor to our community. All members are encouraged to nominate a mentor. 

AATC requests nominations for the annual P. Bruce Uhrmacher Award to recognize one outstanding mentor. Competition is open to non-members, but all applicants must be nominated by an AATC member. 

In order to nominate an individual, please see the following: 

• Each nomination should include a letter of nomination, no longer than one page in length, where the applicant describes the impact of the nominated individual and why the nominee is deserving of this award. The application letter will help the committee determine the winner. 

• The deadline to apply is August 10, 2025.

Winners will be notified in advance, and will be honored with an award at the annual conference each year.
