Publication Process

Research manuscripts submitted to Curriculum and Teaching Dialogue undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All research manuscript submissions are reviewed by 2–3 relevant scholars. Reviewers are asked to submit their feedback in approximately two weeks, and editors share this as well as their own feedback shortly thereafter. Outtakes and book reviews undergo editorial review, and authors receive feedback during this process, as well. As an editorial team, our goal is to help authors make their manuscripts better, whether they ultimately publish with CTD or not.

Accepted authors have approximately one month to make revisions based on reviews and suggestions from the editors. A professional copy editor reviews accepted manuscripts before the editors return them to authors for further technical corrections. The CTD editorial team then does a final reading round to catch any remaining errors before manuscripts are formatted for publication. Hard copies of the journal are printed for contributors, the editorial team, and the editorial board, and the volume is published online shortly before the annual meeting in early October.

CTD is always looking for faculty and advanced doctoral students to assist with the peer review process. If you would like to serve as a reviewer, please email us at ctdeditorialteam@gmail.com so that we may add you to our database. Thanks again for helping CTD to be a robust academic journal.
